George E. Partin, 92, of Memphis, TN passed away June 28, 2013. Mr. Partin was a United States Navy veteran, who served in the Pacific during WWII on LST 227. He also served in Korea. He was a former CPA who enjoyed researching genealogy. He was predeceased by his wife, Jimmie Card Partin and one brother, James A. Partin. He leaves one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Partin of Memphis. TN. The family will receive friends with refreshments provided Tuesday, July 2, 2013, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Grace St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 1720 Peabody Ave. Memphis, TN 38107. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace St. Luke’s Pastoral Care or The food Pantry at the church, as well as The George E. Partin Scholarship, Athens State University, 300 N. Beaty St. Athens, AL 35611.
