Helen Marie Evans

Helen Skipper Evans, 82, of Hot Springs, AR, formerly of Memphis, TN and Southaven, MS passed away March 25, 2015. Helen was a retired Executive Assistant for Promus Companies and Secretary for Harding Academy High School in Memphis. She was known for her vibrant personality and constant smile. She loved spending time with family and friends. Helen is survived by her daughter, Julie Evans Shaw (Billy) of Hot Springs, AR and her son, Michael Evans of Libano, Colombia; two grandchildren, Lane Shaw of Los Angeles, CA and Grace Shaw of Fayetteville, AR and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Evans, and a granddaughter, Lindsey Shaw; brothers, Macy Skipper and Tillman Skipper and sister Hilda Hajek. Family will receive friends Monday, March 30, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Goodman Oaks Church of Christ 1700 E Goodman Rd in Southaven. Services to follow at 2 p.m. with burial taking place at Memphis Memory Gardens. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her family of caregivers at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab 3021 Twin Rivers Dr. Arkadelphia, AR 71923 for opening their hearts and providing exceptional care.
