Hermie Thomas Densford Massey, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2015. Mrs. Massey, the widow of Vester G. Massey, was a long time member of Christian Heritage Church. She is survived by her brother, Vernell Thomas, her children, a daughter- Ivonne Brensdal three sons-Philip Densford, Stephen Densford, Jonathan Densford and three step-children-Beth Young, Arleta Kay Lewis, and Vance Massey. She also leaves eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on January 8, 2015 from noon until the service begins at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. She was a faithful, loving and generous lady who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of the Arbors of Olive Grove Terrace and Gentiva Hospice in DeSoto County, MS for their loving care.
