James J. Emigh

James J Emigh, Sr. passed away on November 17 at the age of 91. Born in Memphis and known as Jim to friends, he was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. After a career in transportation, he retired from GST. Jim was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Betty Moore Emigh, his son James J. Emigh, Jr., and his daughter in law Barbara Bond Emigh. Jim is survived by his sister Nora Ann Humphries, daughters Kathy Emigh Brooks (David) and Barbara Emigh Long (Douglas), his granddaughters Lauren Ceprini Perkins (John) and Emily Emigh Palmertree (Brad), and his great granddaughter Audrey Palmertree.

Visitation will be held November 20 at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar from 4-7 pm with a Rosary at 6:30. The Funeral will be held on November 21 at 11 am at St. James Catholic Church on Leroy Ave. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tails of Hope Dog Rescue, P.O.
