To Our Family.  The saying "time, heals all wounds" may be a saying of old.  For some, time may heal all wounds, but genuine love will never die. 
Another cousin has transitioned from earth to heaven.  Frankie now joins his brother, Lee Roy, sister, Josiephine, Mother, Aunt Minnie, Father, Uncle John, my mother Dorothy, my father, Frank, twin brothers,  DeeRoy and DeeTroy and a host of other family members.   

God allowed Frankie 68 years here on earth. The years were not without sickness, sadness, tears, doctors' visits and I am sure some pain.  But all of that has come to an end.  Frankie is now in a land of " No Mores".  No more death, no more sickness, no more sorrow, no more crying, no more pain.   He is living that eternal life where everything is made " anew"....... We will all be reunited to never be separated again.   Frankie, you just got there before we did!

I just found out about the passing of my dear friend, James.  I met James nearly 40 years ago and we developed a long-lasting and enduring friendship. James was a wonderful and caring man who will be sorely missed. To the Hobbs family, I am so sorry for your loss. Always know that The Creator is forever with you and that James is at peace.

        I’m saddened to learn about the passing of my younger cousin James (Frankie) Hobbs.  As a HS student he had ambitions to play professional football—by skill and will.  An athletic scholarship to Jackson State University set the stage.  
        I anticipated one day seeing him play in the NFL, alongside other  Jackson State notables, including Louis “Dickie” Bullard of the Seattle Seahawks.  Yet, it was not to be.  
        In 1968 Frankie lost his father in a tragic farming accident (Deacon John G. Hobbs Sr.).  Not only did he lose his father, mentor and role model, but also invaluable emotional support.  The event ultimately foreshadowed the end of Frankie’s NFL quest.  
        However, family and friends will never forget Frankie’s competitive spirit.  Whether playing football, checkers or tick-tack-toe, he played to win.  And I’ll forever wonder what could’ve been had his dad survived the accident.  But that day is passed and gone, with it another loved one.
