Janice Campbell Gaines

Janice Katherine Campbell Gaines, former resident of New York State and Lynchburg, VA, died on April 10, 2015. She was 95. She was a special education teacher obtaining her Master’s degree from Columbia University Teacher’s College with undergraduate studies at Lynchburg College, University of Virginia and Boston University. She was member of Asbury United Methodist Church since 1978 where she taught Sunday school and served as Chairperson Outreach Work Area. She has traveled the world and still maintained correspondences with many international friends and students. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, April 14 beginning at 3PM in the chapel of Kirby Pines, 3535 Kirby Road, Memphis, TN 38115. Mrs. Gaines was preceded in death by her parents, sister Robbie C. Roseberry, and husband, Robert W. Gaines. She is survived by her niece Emily Mosby (Robert); great-niece Kristin Chance (Lamar) and great-nephews Ryan Wagner (Becca) and Steven Wagner (Misty); and great-great-nephews Zachary and Hudson.
