Janice L. Stark

Janice was born June 29, 1947, to the late Walter J. Reynolds and Emma Louise Reynolds in Memphis, Tennessee.

Janice was a 1965 graduate of Memphis Tech High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She married the love of her life, Freddie John Stark March 4, 1967 shortly after he came home from serving in the Army in Germany and together they built a home in Collierville and raised their four children. She and Freddie enjoyed many trips to Branson and would often accompany him on his many fishing trips to Sardis Lake. Together they enjoyed country line dancing, she was the best partner Freddie ever had! Janice enjoyed playing BINGO and won many times, she also enjoyed having margaritas at her favorite Mexican restaurant, La Hacienda and loved her strawberry Milkshakes from Sonic. Janice was a fan of Princess Diana, Elvis Presley and Thomas Kincade art; she enjoyed working on word search books and coloring books, Cheering on her Memphis Tigers, and watching her favorite movie, Titanic.

Janice was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren calling them her “Angel Babies”

She is survived by her Children, Fred A. Stark of Colorado Springs, Colorado; John Mitchell Stark of Middleton, Tennessee; Suzanne Scott (Jason) of Williston, Tennessee; Jesslyn Neal (Steve) of Moscow, Tennessee; Granddaughters, Lauren Hughes (Cody); Kinsley Neal (Trevor); great granddaughter, Lucy Hughes and great grandson, Henry Hughes; her sister, Sheila (Reynolds) Landman; two nieces and two nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie John Stark; her grandparents Walter Lee and Josephine Jones Reynolds and John Dillard and Lennie Jane (Bradley) Putt.

Funeral Services for Janice will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 P.M. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
