Jean was previously owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Whitehaven, TN. She was a long time member of First Assembly of God. In her earlier years she was a secretary and Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aaron Lee Cummings and her son Danny Cummings. She is survived by her daughter Karon Edwards (Stan); six grandchildren Scott Edwards (Renea), Brad Edwards (Tami), Katie Bennett (Andy), Melissa Sanford (Bill), Charles Cummings, Joseph Cummings; thirteen great grandchildren; her brother Veral P. Starnes, as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 Wednesday, April 13, 2016 followed by funeral at 2 pm at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119
