Jerry Neal Melton

Jerry Neal Melton, a beloved and devoted individual, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on May 25, 1934, Jerry was a resident of Bartlett, Tennessee. Known for being hard-working and gentle, Jerry was a salesman for Principle Toyota, where his dedication and generosity left a lasting impact.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Nita Goff Piyavunno, his father, Aaron Velmer Melton Sr., his mother, Reedy Melton, his two sisters, Ava Nell Willis and Leona Faye Rhea, his brother, Aaron Velmer Melton Jr., and his three children, Debbie, Brian, and Jerry Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sister Linda, and Carol Griggs, affectionately known as Jerry's Carol. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Tommy Goff, Jerry Goff, and Betsy Piyavunno, five grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Jerry was an avid golfer and was inducted into the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame for golf. His love for Carol and his faithful spirit were evident in all aspects of his life. Jerry's legacy of kindness and commitment will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
