Jerry Young

Jerry Young, 76, died on the morning of February 12, 2018 at his home in Millington. Known as "Jake" to his family and friends, Mr. Young worked at Firestone until their closing then retired from the Public Works Department of the City of Memphis after 28 years of service. Family and friends will gather at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN today, February 14 beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon until funeral services begin at two o'clock. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. Jake is survived by his wife, Evelyn Witt Young; daughters, Angie Young and Linda (Jeff) Harris; sons, Danny Ray Young and Dewayne (Ashley) Young; six grandchildren: Krystal Ray, Eddie Ray, Heather (Daniel) Hiner, Shane Chamberlin, and Brandon and Cory Young; and seven great-grandchildren.
