Jimmy D. Gorham, 85, of Bartlett, TN was called to his heavenly home on January 22, 2021. He was born May 27, 1935 in Holcomb Missouri and grew up in Black Oak, AR where he worked with his family in his dad's movie theater.
He graduated from Arkansas State University and retired as a District Manager for The Wackenhut Security Corporation in Memphis, TN. Jimmy was a Deacon in the Trafalgar Village Baptist Church in Memphis where he enjoyed worshipping, serving and fellowshipping with family and friends. He was always happy and eager to share his faith with anyone he met.
He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren taking them all on vacations and cruises traveling to destinations all over the world.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest son, Kevin in 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Laura Rainbolt Gorham; son, Doug (Michelle) Gorham of Bartlett, TN; daughter, Karen (Bryan) Hall of Bristol, VA; Daughter-in-law, Sharlene Price Gorham of Bartlett, TN; brother, Bob Gorham of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Rosalie Barber and Grovernel Grisham of Jonesboro AR, and 8 wonderful grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00, Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122.
