John Walter Riddick, age 76, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was born December 16, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee to John Ward Riddick and Bettye Ann Robertson Riddick.
John retired from National Asbestos Workers Heat and Frost Insulators - Local 90. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was a member of Capleville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars, home repairs, etc.
He is survived by his two children, Chris Riddick (Carla) and Carrie Riddick; four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Christian, Wyatt, Silas, and Kennedy Judd; and one great-grandchild, Oliver Knudsen. He is also survived by his mother, Bettye Ann; siblings, Ricky Riddick, Carol Ann Bukszar, and Paul Riddick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and late wife, Shirley Ann Riddick.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 11:30 AM until the funeral service at 12:30 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. Military honors will follow at 2:00 PM, at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
