John W. Sowell of Olive Branch, MS passed away on August 9, 2014. He was born on July 7, 1930. He is survived by his wife of 60yrs. , Barbara Caples Sowell, a son John Jr. , a daughter Sandra White, 3 grandsons, and 5 great grandchildren. After he graduated from South Side he served in the Air Force as a M.P. When he returned he went to Northwest MS Junior College. He loved the game of football and played in high school and college. He retired from Kellogg’s in 1989. He was a loving and beloved husband and father that will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 12 at Family Funeral Care at 1:00pm followed by service at 2:00pm with burial at Memorial Gardens.
