I loved Josh very much. I called him Casper, because he would appear like a ghost out of nowhere. He was my dear friend, and I will miss him forever.

Josh, so little and full of energy (both you and Nathan) when we first met.  You both would put on a "Hi-Powered" Dancing show for me, complete with lights and techno music. Impressed I was! Captured from the start... oh Josh, at age 7.  When I fell in Love with your sister, I could not help but also begin a new kind of love for her brothers, including you.

As time went by, we both grew.  You were so ready to welcome me to the family well before I married into it.  I had never had a brother growing up myself - only sisters.  I was blessed by Chad, Nathan, and You from the start.  Brotherly Love grows DEEP so I found, yet never had really known this before.  Years passed, as I watched you develop a most admirable character and intellect with honesty, integrity and willingness to STAND for righteousness. 

I cannot go on without saying we both shared a passion of Electronics and Computers.  It would be a common thread for us and become a big part of our chosen careers.  Being older, and competitive it was hard for me to realize you had a gift, and God given talent for this technology.  I began to admit to myself, first secretly, then openly that you are better.  I know it written that "iron sharpens iron" and  You were iron that sharpened me.  I never told you how PROUD I am of your abilities and what it meant to me.  I NEVER imagined how far reached your talent spread to touch the lives of many people, all the while quietly showing others your testimony of faith in Jesus Christ by your actions.. until you were gone.

We also shared many other interests from SCI-FI to RUSH! with Christianity mixed all in between.  Oh,  the family time was priceless and words cannot describe the many hours of laughter and FUN we all had just being with each other, playing games at holidays, birthdays, and get-togethers.  

We had much still yet to do, Josh.  I was excited with anticipation of growing older together, and doing things once our busy lives could get a break.  I am missing you So.  Always will -- my close, dear Brother.

JESUS, please be with us and comfort our sorrows with understanding for Josh's new life of celebration with you in Heaven.  We HONOR your plan, your design for our lives here. Show us how to live now with upstanding and a spoken word, a voice for doing right like your child JOSH has always done for you...

the description couldn't have said it better. josh was great he worked hard and was extremely intelligent. i'm happy to have josh in my life he was a great role model and an awesome friend. i know he's with god now and he'll be waiting to see me when i enter the kingdom and i look forward to it, until then i'll keep praying for you, your family, and for god's consistent presence in all our lives

Some people come into your life and fade away. Then there are some that make an impact on your life and you are never quite the same. In an ocean of acquaintances Josh was a true friend whom I will truly miss. I met him 10 years ago as a co-worker and am honored to have him as my friend. We shared a lot of the same interest and I always looked forward to talking & joking around with him.
My heart & prayers goes out to his family and friends... He was a wonderful man that always helped in any way he could. His family can be proud of the man he grew up to become.

My sweet smiling Josh, I'm heart-broken, I'm devastated, I'm lost…but trying to rejoice (as I know you would want us to do) that you are "home".  
I've had the privilege of knowing Josh for exactly 25 years this Memorial weekend when we moved to Memphis.  As your Mom prayed for a friend to move into that empty house a few doors down, I prayed that my 2 boys would make new friends in this new town we were moving to; boy did our prayers get answered that day.  From that day forward as that little green tennis ball rolled down the street Josh & Nathan were permanent additions to our family.  There are way too many memories to list here.  There were birthdays, graduations, new births, sporting events, weddings and everything in between.  Josh loved some of our good ole Oklahoma cooking, Josh was at almost every family event we had.  He went on family vacations with us to "Grammy and Papa's" lake house, spent many sleepovers at our house, he taught me how to even turn on a computer, and spent many holidays with us from coloring eggs for Easter to Christmas night games.  I wrote Josh a letter when he graduated from High School and it was if it was almost written for today, I talked about how he was ending one part of his journey to embark on a new beginning, and boy is he embarking on a new beginning now!  Josh was the big brother to my two sons and Nathan as well as my two daughters; they could not have had a better influence or role model in their lives.  Those four little boys literally grew up together and all still remain best friends to this day.  I watched them grow from little boys into awesome young men; I don't recall them ever having a harsh word amongst each other, unless it would have been during a video game LOL.  Josh was also a great and true friend to my daughters and as I always said an “adopted” son to Mike and me.  As I put together the video for this special event I have cried many tears, and prayed many prayers.   How could I ever put something together to honor Josh in the way that he deserves? I can hear in my head Josh saying just do it, do it all like I taught you. Josh taught me everything I know about computers, I have spent endless hours with Josh over here working on my computer,  I would have to say Josh I can't “hang with you any longer” and he would say okay go to bed I will let myself out.  I last emailed Josh on Friday and texted him a few weeks ago with the awful sound my computer was making.   Josh was one of the most honorable men I have ever known.  He was honest, trustworthy and a genuine God loving man and I will miss him with all my heart.  I will cherish every memory and moment that was ever made and spent with Josh!!!  We all love you Josh and you will be forever loved and missed.  
To Sally and Tom my dear friends…I thank you for allowing Josh to be a part of my family and our lives, he truly was an inspiration and a blessing to us all.  I pray for you and I wish I could take away your pain; I love you with all my heart.  I'm so sorry for the loss you are feeling right now.

Josh, you are my second cousin and never really got to know you as we lived states apart. But your mom told me a few years ago that I just HAVE to get to know you,that I would just LOVE you! I wish I could've connected to you on earth, but i KNOW we will in heaven! You inspire me by hearing about your heart of gold and love for Jesus and others, to follow in your footsteps and touch others as you have. I am truly sorry for your loss. Josh was one of my favorite hockey friends. He was always a calming influence in the locker room. His maturity was far beyond his years and although he was a little more than half my age, I looked up to him. I will miss his sly smile that told everyone that he was in on the joke, whatever that may be. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't to be on his team this spring but I believed there would be other seasons. I'm sorry that I only knew him through hockey.  Josh was one of the good guys. You have good reason to be proud of him. Take comfort in knowing that you will see him again.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. I am deeply saddened for his family. May God be with your family and loved ones during this tough time. I've worked with Josh for many years and loved to "bug" him as I put it, anytime we had computer issues. He always came to the rescue though! I am very bless to have worked and became friends with such a kind, generous, funny, talented man! Josh was one of a kind, and we will all miss him dearly. His family is in our prayers.

Words cannot express how I felt when I heard you had passed.  It is hard to believe that someone who was so caring, giving, and hardworking, someone so young with such a bright future, someone who lived honestly and had dedicated his life to the Lord could be taken so swiftly.  Even though we can not understand it, He has a plan. Because of the life you lived and the message you spread with your actions while you were here, others will be drawn closer to God. We may mourn you for a while, but can certainly find peace in knowing our Father has embraced you. I only recently met Josh through our love of hockey, but I can tell you that he was a good man, tough player, and fun guy to be around. I came to discover that our style on and off the ice were similar, and that made me enjoy my time around him. His passion was exciting, and he took a genuine interest in the company he kept. He worked diligently to build a community that I love, and it won't be the same without him.

Josh, I want you to know that I will help carry the torch that you lit, and help build on the foundation that you placed before me. I hope to see you at a pick up game on the other side, my friend.
