

Kenneth N. Haley, 90, passed away January 14, 2015 at Quince Nursing Home in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Tech High School in Memphis. He was retired from the Department of Housing and Urban Development/ FHA, he was the Deputy Chief Appraiser at his retirement. He also worked for a number of years at the City of Memphis Assessor’s Office. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, and he was a Gideon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Haley and Mary Bennett Haley; his wife of 55 years Betty Sumners Haley; a son Kenneth Neil Haley Jr.; a sister, Eugenia Haley; two brothers, Aubrey Haley Jr. and Donald Haley; his granddaughter, Jordan Lea Haley and a step-son Willie Leon Sproles. He is survived by his wife Ann Sproles Haley, one daughter, Susan Haley Lolley of West Monroe, LA; son Philip (Marsha) Haley Sr. of Memphis, TN; daughter-in-law, Nina Haley of Memphis, TN; step-daughter Cheryl White; grandchildren, Jeff Dixon, Greg Dixon, Brooke Haley, Lea Haley Koonce, Philip Haley Jr., Andrew Haley and Mark Haley; eight great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the staff at Quince Nursing Home for their care over the last 8½ years.
