Kenneth Scott Meeks

Kenneth Scott Meeks died Monday, February 9, 2015, at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born in Memphis on May 8, 1973. He attended elementary school in Chattanooga, TN, and high school in Wilson, NC. He graduated from Wicomico High School in Salisbury, MD. Scott was an avid photographer, winning numerous awards in school. Scott continued his studies at Salisbury University and the University of Memphis. After college he worked in the lumber business for fifteen years.

Scott was part of a loving and lively extended family and is survived by his mother Paula Reeves Meeks of Memphis, his father Robert Meeks (Sherry) of Dallas, TX, his grandmother Doris Reeves of Memphis, his brother Michael Nicholas (Mary) of Durham, NC, and his nephew Jeremy. His uncles are Rick Reeves of Memphis and Douglas Meeks (Blair) of Brentwood, TN; his aunts, Joyce Meeks Upchurch (Tom) of Suwanee, GA, and Marilyn Gates Meeks of Collierville, TN. Scott loved and was loved by eight first cousins Nancy Blair Ariano, Donna Clayton, Mollye Vick, Douglas Meeks, John Meeks, Marcus Meeks, Matthew Meeks, and Benjamin Meeks.

Visitation is at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 14, 2015, followed by the funeral at 2:00, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 480 S Highland, Memphis, with the Rev. Michael Pence and the Rev. Dennis Neenan presiding. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery
