Kenneth graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1956 and entered the Army where he served as a paratrooper. While stationed at Fort Bragg, Kenneth met his beautiful wife, Betty Bliss Clark. The two moved to Memphis, Tennessee, after Kenneth was discharged from the Army in 1961 and lived there happily for six decades. Kenneth retired from Progressive Foods after 25 years of service and spent his retirement caring for his beloved mother and aunts, looking after his ever-growing herd of cats, and tinkering with anything he could find that needed fixing. Kenneth loved food, nature, football, his family, and puzzles of any kind.
Kenneth passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis on Friday, January 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Betty, as well as cherished first cousins Beverly (Pierce) Suttle and Robert Lee Bromley and nephew James Robert Bromley.
Kenneth is survived by his cousin, Jim Bromley (and wife Jamie) of Como, Mississippi, niece Alice Bromley of Memphis, Tennessee, numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law in North Carolina and Virginia, and friends Jewel Wilson and Nancy Bromley of Memphis.
A rotunda service for Kenneth will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
