Kirk Joseph Coolican passed away at his home in Bartlett, TN on October 27, 2023. Kirk was born on April 17, 1962 in Memphis, TN to his parents, Mike and Carole Coolican. Kirk attended Bishop Byrne High School and went on to have a long and successful career at J.W. Moore.
Kirk was a devoted father to four wonderful girls and active grandfather to five precious grandchildren. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by family. When not spending time with his family, Kirk enjoyed being an outdoorsman. Whether it be fishing, camping or hiking, Kirk had a passion for spending as much time in nature as possible. He was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed looking for new birds in his yard each morning. Kirk was also a talented carpenter and took great pride in gifting his creations to his girls. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN.
Kirk is survived by his four daughters, Heather McClintock (Ryan), Kaitlin Montroy (Nick), Kelsey Matande (Mike) and Kanin McCrary (Ray), five grandchildren, Jaxon and Hudson McClintock, Charlotte Montroy and Chloe and Olivia Matande, three brothers, Mark Coolican (Penny), Mike Coolican IV and Keith Coolican, three nephews, Matt Coolican (Leslie), Mitchell Coolican (Lauren) and Mason Coolican, two nieces, Mallory Coolican and Bridget Coolican, one great niece, Audrey Coolican (Matt) and father, Mike Coolican III. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carole Coolican.
Services will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, located at 6529 Stage Road in Bartlett, TN on Friday, November 10, 2023. Visitation to begin at 10:00 am with Mass at 11:00 am.
