Lester 'Butch' Clyde Walker, Jr. was born on February 26, 1950 in Brownsville, TN. He passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 72 in Bartlett, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Clyde Walker, Sr and Betty Teague along with his step-father, Terry Merritt.
Butch graduated from Treadwell High School in 1969. Upon graduation, he became a Respiratory Therapist where he formed his own company Skilled Respiratory Home Care with friend Rick Oswalt. While working with his own company, he also worked at St. Joseph in Memphis and then retired from St. Frances in Memphis. Butch enjoyed time on the water on his pontoon he shared with his cousin. He also did some racing at Memphis MotorSports Raceway in Millington, TN. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Butch is survived by his wife, Wanda Joyce; his two step-daughters, Wendy (Michael) Belt and Felecia Coulter; his three granddaughters, Valarie and Bella Coulter and Arden Belt; his aunts, Paula Jane Tillman of Ripley, TN, Ruth Walker Moore of Kossuth, MS, Alice 'Jimmie' Teague of Ramer, TN and Lottie Walker of Montgomery, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and Celebrate his Life from 2pm until 4pm on Saturday, September 10,2022 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122.
