Lillian McNeer Chambers passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 31, after a good life of 97 years. She was born June 25, 1920, to James and Lillian McNeer in Memphis, Tennessee. She was married to the love of her life, Elmer Chambers, for 55 years. They were active members of Bethany Parkway and Capleville Methodist Churches. Lillian was preceded in death by Elmer, and her brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Kathryn McNeer.
She graduated from South Side High School and worked for the John Gerber Co. and the Shelby County Government. She was the loving mother of Joy Vincent and precious "MiMi" to grandchildren Karen and Kevin Vincent.
Visitation will be Friday, November 3, at Capleville Methodist Church at 1:00 P.M. with service to follow at 2:00 P.M.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Sturdivant and the nursing staff of Germantown Methodist ICU and Medical Floor for their professional, warm and loving care.
