Lois Elizabeth Griffin Holland, 81, of Memphis, passed away October 29, 2011, at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. Mrs. Holland, the widow of Herbert D. Holland, Jr., was retired from General Electric. She is survived by her children, Danny Holland (Barbara) of Springfield, TN, Janie Frederick (Art) of Memphis, David Holland (Tannya) of Memphis, and Elizabeth Etheridge (Barry) of Memphis; two sisters, Bobbie Marciszewski (Peter D.) of Memphis and Ruby Knight (William) of Slayden, MS; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with burial in Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund.
