Margie Ann Sizemore

Margie A. Sizemore, age 95, of Batesville, Arkansas, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, John D. Sizemore Sr.; her son, Dan Sizemore; and her daughter, Emily Wood.

She is survived by her devoted granddaughter, Kimberly Fisher (Nick); her cherished great-grandchildren, Seth Billings (Julie), Bryce Billings, Celeste Billings (Gunner Willis), and Owen Fisher; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Margie dedicated her life to her faith and to education. She taught for over 60 years, serving at Memphis Shelby County Schools (MSCS), Briarcrest Christian School, and as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor with MSCS. Through her work with ESL students, Margie formed many treasured friendships with students from around the world. She was a faithful member of Colonial Baptist Church for over 68 years.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, at Colonial Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Church Health Center (https://churchhealth.org/).
