Marie Gaia Bowers, 98, passed away October 15, 2018 while surrounded by her beloved family. From the Greatest Generation, Marie was born April 28, 1920 to parents John and Jo Ann Gaia. She was their youngest child of 5. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her 3 brothers Joe Gaia, Louis Gaia, and Charlie Gaia; her sister Rose Cevetti and her grandson Brian Bowers. She is survived by her two sons Steve Bowers (Lanell) of Southaven, MS and John Bowers of Bartlett, TN; her 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter due any day now. A life-long resident of Memphis, Marie was dedicated to her family, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid animal lover to her cat Sissy and dog Ollie. Her memorial service will be Friday October 19th at:
