Mike, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved step-dad. We have some wonderful memories of Mark. We know you will miss him until you see him again in Heaven. As I can't be there today I will share a memory of the first time we met our new neighbors at the lake: Mark and Deborah. Rick suggested all four of us go  for a boat ride. it was the day that Rick and Mark became fast friends as did Deborah and I.
 Mark was warm, charming, intelligent , engaging and made others feel at ease in his presence. Mark liked the simplicity of lake living. He enjoyed observing and being one with nature.   
I couldn't image these past seven years without our saturday night dates at the local Mexican restruants. Listening to Mark and Rick banter about life and world issues. Mark asking probing questions. Often they felt it necessary to leave an extra tip for taking the table space for hours. Such good memories.
Mark's contagious smile, compassion, kindness and generosity will always be remembered. Mostly I will remember Mark for his undying love for Deborah. Mark will not be forgotten. He will always be a part of us. Speak his name often. When we love someone their spirit lives forever within us.

I worked in Savannah in Human Resources with Mark.  I am shocked to hear of his passing? Deborah, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Mark in JR High School and he was a friend of fun, loyalty and strong character. I had it tough in school due to my reading difficulties, but Mark was always patient, supportive and always defended my intellect and stood up for me. I didn't even know about most of his kindness and support until years later. My family was blessed that a sharp teacher in Anchorage Alaska noticed my kids and I had dyslexia. Problem finally solved. 
Mark and some of our friends were with the football team as managers and players. We had some great times together after school and at games. We also made a lot of memories at Tiger Stadium on Saturday nights.
Mark and I spoke of bar-b-queing at his lake house, touring Alaska and fishing with our wives. I thank the Lord I reconnected with Mark and Deborah a few years ago. We met in Daytona Beach with Rufus Brown and had a blast. 
Kirina and I want to thank Deborah for working so hard these past months taking care of my good friend. I'm hoping someday to give Marks Mom a hug, for bringing Mark into this world.
Words can't express the loss of Mark in my life.

I will always remember the time I was able to share with Mark in his final days, just wish they could have been longer.  Mark was and is the best of the best. Deborah, how shocking to hear of Mark's passing.  I will always remember the many fun times we had at our Mid-South Region, Shreveport, Louisiana, facility!  We were just one big, happy family.  May God's peace be with you.

Deborah, in the short time I worked at IP, I developed a great level of respect for Mark and his tremendous level of caring for employees. I considered him a sort of mentor for me.  I will keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers and wish you peace in this difficult time.

Deborah, I was surprised and sorry to hear of Mark's passing.  Mark was a good man and it was always as pleasure to work with him at International Paper.  Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Deborah, We were very sad to hear of Mark's passing.  Mark was a true friend and confidante.  We shared many trials and tribulations working closely many years.  Mark always had time to listen and share his thoughts and ideas.  Mark helped to make IP a better company and a better place for all he worked with.  Thanks for sharing Mark with us.

Debra, Margie and I are very sad to hear of Mark's passing.  As  brother members of the former Land and Timber HR Group we went through a lot of "interesting" times and good times together, and I always enjoyed being around him.  I'll miss his great smile, quiet demeanor, and the time he always took to chat.  God Bless.

Deborah, I just learned of Mark's passing through Brian. I'm deeply sorry. He was a great person and we are going to miss him, but, we will never forget him. I have many great memories that I will forever cherish. I pray for you and Mark's family. Rufus Brown
