Marsha Ivey Allen, age 70, of Memphis, Tennessee was called home by her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 3, 2022. Marsha, the daughter of Arthur M. Ivey, Jr. and Laquilla (Jordan) Ivey, was born the second of three daughters. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Allen of Memphis, TN, her sons, Jonathan (Renee) Allen of Olive Branch, MS and Stephen Allen of Cordova, TN, two grandchildren, Alex and Natalie Allen, of Olive Branch, MS, her sisters, Jean (Paul) Slover of Columbia, SC and Tina (Rickey) Sharp of Somerville, TN, and several other family and friends. She was born on June 6, 1952 in Parsons, TN. At an early age, she moved to Memphis, TN with her family and ultimately graduated from Messick High School in 1970. She worked for the USPS and FedEx over the years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom to homeschool both her sons, Jonathan and Stephen Allen. She was a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for 30+ years. She loved to play Bunko with her longtime friends, go out to eat with her husband, watch comedies (TV and movies) and spend time with her family. A visitation for Marsha will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. A funeral service will occur Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home.
