Mary Louise Brower

Jackson - Mary Louise Smithers Brower, 87 of Jackson, TN, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2012. She was born on February 27, 1924 in Memphis, TN, to the late Bethel and Ethel Smithers. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Hugh Brower. She leaves two sons, Gene Brower (Vicki) of Horn Lake, MS, Bob Brower (Sue) of Lake Cormorant, MS; two daughters, Margaret Brower Rodgers (Max) of Jackson, TN and Vickie Brower Harden (Tommy Jackson) of Olive Branch, MS; a sister, Anne Smithers Tyner (Dick) of Selmer, TN; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and Eva Burrus, her Caregiver. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Jackson, TN. Viewing will be at St. Paul Catholic Church on Shelby Drive in Memphis TN on Friday, February 24, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, followed by a Rosary and Mass. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The American Diabetes Association .
