Mrs. Stringer worked along side the late Richard Stringer in the nursery business for over 40 years. She was a devoted mother and wife. A member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outside, was a huge sports fan and watching her favorite show, General Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Kaye Dykeman of Palm Coast, Fl, five grandchildren Alicia Dykeman, Brian Dykeman, Matt Dykeman, Sybil Stringer and Thomas (Lance) Stringer; six great grandchildren, Mackynzie Dykeman, Alea Mazzina, Tristin Hobbs, Tyler Hobbs, Lillian Polk and Elizabeth Stringer.
Aside from her parents, Mrs. Stringer was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stringer, two sons, David and Tommy and one grandson David C Stringer.
A visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, on Tuesday, March 24, from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Graveside will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road.
