So sorry to hear this. I learned of this today thru mutual friend Sylvia Carter, which is actually how I first met her and her mother. Ms. Margaret was a customer of my mother's and her cousin Noretha. Quincy, I remember when you were born and I still have your baby picture. My prayers are with you and pray that you find comfort in knowing how much your mother loved you.

So sorry to hear this just heard today. This was my momma’s good friend. She was at our home many weekends back before my mom passed. She will be sorely missed. 🙏. Quincy I remember when you were born. Be encouraged.

I remember Mary Margaret  took great care to make others feel comfortable. When I would travel to Memphis to visit we would make time to have food and conversation at Mary’s home. It always felt like the first time in part because Mary loved to prepare something for one to nibble on and paired it with proper beverages. When Mary traveled to New York City to see family I would make it a point to try to meet up for dinner at least once during her  busy schedule l. Mary loved laughter,  had a great since of humor, and a smile that could brighten up any room she entered. Mary leaves a legacy of educational excellence as a high example of how teaching ‘is’ in-fact an art in itself. My deepest condolences go out to Quincy and his family loved ones. May God bless and keep you Brother Q.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Jone. As my former elementary teacher, she made a lasting impact on my life and the lives of so many others. Her kindness, patience, and dedication to teaching shaped not only our education but also the people we became.

I will always remember the way she encouraged us to believe in ourselves and nurtured a love for learning that has carried me through the years. 

My heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathies go out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May you find comfort in knowing how cherished and respected she will always be.

Quincy I taught with your mom at Brookmeade. She was a great teacher and wonderful friend to all teachers. She told me one day I needed to get tougher and not let these parents run over me. She will be greatly missed. You and your family are in our prayers!
