Mary Jo Walker

Mary Jo graduated from Loogootee High School and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and Charity Hospital Anesthesia School. She worked in Memphis for Memphis Anesthesia Group and retired in 1997.

Miss Walker was active in her church. She was a member of Ladies of Charity, Legion of Mary Ministry to the sick, and a Eucharistic Minister. She loved all watersports, golf and travel.

She leaves behind her lifelong friend and caregiver, Carole Buzbee, many family and friends from Loogootee and Jasper, IN., special friends; Linda Bellis, Ann Browning, Vicki Boyd, Jo Ann Dotson, Jeannette Garrett, Comfort Keepers, Donette Burns. A special thank you to the team of doctors that cared for her; Dr. Prethi Vaddadi, Dr. Sameer Vaddadi, Dr. Danielle Barnard and Dr. Whitney Slade as well as the team of Crossroads Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, TN.

In lieu of flowers donations in Miss Walker's name may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
