Nancy Joyce Fox Blanks

Nancy Joyce Fox Blanks, age 90, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Born February 20, 1934 in Central Kentucky, she was the youngest child of Samuel Kinder and Betty Nickelson Fox. Nancy is survived by her husband of 72 years, Henry E. Blanks; her son, Keith E. Blanks of Somerville, TN; granddaughter, Taylor Nicole "Nikki" Kidd and Holden Kidd; and great-grandchildren, Brantley, Haelyn, Westin, and Oaklynn of Somerville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Fox Marlowe, Dorothy Fox Pruitt, and her brother, David Fox.

Mrs. Blanks was organist/music director for 53 years at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church. After retirement, she joined Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she was a member of Aldersgate Women. She was also a member of the American Organists Guild, American Guild of Handbell Ringers & Choristers, Fellowship of Methodist Musicians, and Daughters of the American Revolution.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4 beginning at 2:00 PM and the funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Services and burial in Moreland, KY will be handled by W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home, 5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437, (606) 346-2581.
