Nancy Jeanne Shamburger Cochran, age 86, passed away on May 3rd, She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend.
She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1937. She spent her childhood in Mooringsport, LA and also in Lumberton, MS. She attended University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She taught herself to sew and could craft almost anything. She enjoyed playing tennis in her 40s and enjoyed traveling with her family and any family reunion we could attend. She spent many holidays with loved ones and families over her whole life. She loved children and she was a natural caregiver her whole life. She was very good at caring for others when they were in need. She also enjoyed nature and admiring God's creation of trees, flowers, birds, and any other animals. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling with her family and going on various trips such as camping or to Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN, Hot Springs, Ark, and many trips to Florida and other various places. She was always ready to go on an adventure and would never turn this down. She was a wonderful cook and we all looked forward to her nightly meals growing up. She was also very humble and would never take credit when being complimented.
She is survived by her children Kellye Albritton-Wright, Rex Cochran Jr., Julie Cochran-Sanchez, seven Grandchildren, and two Great-Grandchildren.
We all loved and adored her and will miss her but we know she is on to her next adventure.
