Mr. Nathaniel Wright

the late Elijah Wright and the late Hattie Black Wright. Nathaniel

departed this life February 11, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital

Desoto.

At an early age he confessed his life to Christ at Oak Hill M.B. Church

in Hernando, Mississippi. Nathaniel remained a faithful member

until his death. He was a member of the Oak Hill Lodge #218 and a

member of the Deacon Board for many years. He enjoyed church and

especially singing.

He was a farmer and he was also maintenance engineer at Ely and

Walker. He was a family man who exemplified strong leadership and

guidance for his family. He retired in 1975.

He was married to Dorothy Jones for 66 years. She preceded him in

death along with their daughter, Alice Jean Wright and a great great

grandson, Major Walker.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his children Peggy Wright of

Southaven, MS, Nadine (Ronald) Brownlee, Bettie Ruth Harris,

Charles ( Johnnie Mae) Wright, Mary Nell (Percy) Smith all of

Memphis, TN, Faye Doris (Layvile) Lipford, Janet (Karl) Wilkins,

Randy (Gladys) Wright all of Southaven, MS, Jacqueline (Canasta)

Robinson of Gautier, MS, twenty fine grandchildren, twenty five

great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sister-in-law’s

Rosie B. Wright and Estella Walls, and a host of nieces and nephews

other relatives and friends.
