Nina Kay Ryder, 49, of Southaven, passed away on January 22, 2016. The family will gather to receive friends on Saturday, January 30, between 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. A memorial service to celebrate Nina’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 4353 Highway 51 South, Hernando, MS 38632. Nina was preceded in death by her father, Phillip H. Slaughter. She is survived by her husband of nine years, Jeffrey L. Ryder; two daughters, Lauren (Billy) Royal and Megan Calhoun; her son, Gary Calhoun, II; her mother and step-father, Nancy and Jim Worrall; her step-mother, Hiroko Slaughter; her brother, Shane Slaughter; her step-daughter, Jaymie Delong; three step-sons, Jeffrey James Ryder, Jason Lee Ryder, and Joshua Lynn Ryder; and sixteen grandchildren.
