Numancia Martinez Batchelor, 90, of Germantown, passed away January 2, 2012. She was a graduate of the University of Havana, Cuba, and came to the United States in 1953 to get her Master's at the University of Alabama. She taught at Ole Miss where she met her husband, Olen Batchelor, Jr. and moved to Memphis and later Germantown. Mrs. Batchelor was a member of Germantown Presbyterian Church and is survived by her son, Olen "Pancho" Batchelor, III of Germantown. A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue.
