Opal Faye Waycaster Blair

Mrs. Blair was retired after 20 years from Sears. She was a member of Cherry Road Baptist Church and the Oakville Eastern Star 265 where she served as Worthy Grand Matron of Tennessee in 1998. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and friend, and had a very special God given gift of caring and doing for others.

Opal was the wife of 48 years to the late Lester Blair. She is survived by a brother Elton Waycaster, Jasper AL.; 3 children: Bruce (Lisa) Blair, Murfreesboro, TN; Denise (Mike) Hamby, Memphis, TN; Patricia (Frank), Savannah, GA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue beginning at 10 am with funeral services to follow at 11:00. Burial will be at Autumn Woods Cemetery, Olive Branch, MS. The family request memorial be sent to Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
