He immigrated to the United States as a machinist. He was later a successful business owner (Bronx, New York) and had a love for music. He worked in promoting Jamaican musicians. Owen loved playing and watching cricket. He was a talented cricket player for Boys Town (Jamaica).
He is survived by his children, Patrick, Jacqueline, O'neil, Andrea, Natalie, Omar, Tricia, and Jason; grandchildren, Kaija, Najia, Ajae, Brian, Kayla, Brianna, Brandon, and Rowan; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Phil and Leroy; and one sister.
