Peggy Louise Little

Peggy Louise Summerford Little, 80, of Linden, TN, formerly of Memphis, TN, left this earth on January 1, 2025 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born on February 8, 1944 in Proctor, AR to John and Stella Logan Summerford.

Peggy loved playing basketball in Jr High and High School and enjoyed sharing fond memories on the court. She worked for Kimberly-Clark for almost 30 years, making many friends. Peggy retired after the closing of the plant in 1994. She was resident at Perry County Nursing Home since February 2023 and while there, she touched the lives of so many of her caregivers. Peggy will be missed by all who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Hutcheson, her brothers, J.C. Summerford, Danny Summerford, Bobby Summerford, Richard Summerford, and their infant brother, John Summerford, and a special family friend, Charles Perkins.

Peggy is survived by her children, Barbara (Phil) Schwager, Jimmy Reynolds, and Christie (Chad) Turner; her grandchildren: Jeremy Hulsey, Ronnie Cox, Junior (Bekki) Cox, Madison (Jesse) Kimble, Isaac (Brittany) Cox, Ethan (Maria) Rose, Logan Rose and Peighton Beacon; her great-grandchildren, Isaac Jefferson, Abigail Hulsey, Ariana Hulsey, Zayden Hulsey, Myracle Hulsey, Kai Cox, Katrina Cox, Gabriella Cox, Scarlet Cox, Zander Cox, Dax Cox, Marleigh Kimble, and Lillith Kimble. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR.
