Peggy Walker Lott, 85, of Collierville, passed away on December 18, 2013. She was a graduate of Memphis State College where she was a charter member of Alpha Gamma Delta. Peggy was a retired teacher’s assistant from Memphis City Schools and member of Covenant Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Walker Hummel, Miss America 1947. Peggy leaves her loving husband of 64 years Franklin R. Lott Sr., her daughter Brenda Justus, her son Franklin R. Lott Jr., three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A service will be held at 11am, on Friday, December 27, 2013, in the rotunda at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Any memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
