

Phillip “Skip” Hathcock, 62, lifelong Memphian, died on December 16, 2014. Born on September 22, 1952, Skip was a graduate of Kingsbury High School Class of ’71 and Memphis State University class of ’75. After thirty plus years he retired as Director of Youth & Adult Athletics for the Memphis Park Commission. There will be a graveside service on Friday, December 19, 2014 beginning at 2PM at Bethel Cemetery located at 3406 Tracey Road, Atoka, TN 38004. Father Jeff Marx will conduct the graveside service. Mr. Hathcock was preceded in death by his parents James Nolan & Jeanie LaRue Catledge Hathcock. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Manesha Yates Hathcock; daughter April & Michael Bryan of Memphis; daughter Valerie and Juan Sanchez of Bartlett, TN; son Phillip and Jaime Hathcock, Jr. of Lakeland, TN; brothers David & Cheryl Hathcock of Old Hickory, TN and James “Rusty” and Jan Hathcock of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren Seth Bryan, Cooper Hathcock, Lainey Hathcock and soon to be born Mackenzie Sanchez. In lieu of flowers please send donations to his two favorite charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
