Ray Thomas King

Ray T. King of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at the age of 67 with his family present. Ray was born to Vickie and Frank King on December 14, 1947. He lived in Memphis, TN., then moved to Jackson, MS, where he attended Murrah High School and, later, the University of Mississippi. In 1986, Ray married Carol Cooper. They had 29 wonderful years together, traveling, enjoying life, and creating wonderful memories. Ray also loved walking, biking, bar-hopping, and being with his close friends. Ray is survived by his wife, Carol, his brother, Larry King (Nanda), sister, Eddie Joe Yakel (Gary), his cousin/ “brother”, Michael Ray King, Carol’s family: Elizabeth and Joe Horsman and Dorothy and Steve Parr, many nieces and nephews, as well as many close and loving relatives and friends. Ray was a kind, sweet, gentle soul and will be missed by all who knew him. A private ceremony will be held at Byhalia Cemetery.
