Rhonda Kay Mitchell, 59, of Memphis passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. Ms. Mitchell worked for Sedgwick CMS and loved her babies, April and Toby Keith, very much. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Mahaffey. Ms. Mitchell is survived by her father, James E. Mahaffey, two sisters, Carol Cobb and Ramona Holbrooks (Terry), and one brother, Tony Mahaffey (Tammy). She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Shirey, Christopher Burrow, Scott Mahaffey, Amanda Futrell, and Brittney Cobb, her close friend, Melvin Staples, as well as a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 10 from 5-7 p.m. and a Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday June 11 all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Memphis Humane Society.
