Richard Laurent Schneider

Richard Laurent “Dick” Schneider, loving husband, father and grandfather, died on March 20, 2012 at Ave Maria Home in Memphis, Tennessee with both daughters by his side. Born on June 9, 1926 in Memphis, TN, Dick graduated from C.B.C. (now known as Christian Brothers High School) in 1944. After a quarter at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he joined the Army Air Corps in 1944, where he was a tail gunner. He graduated from Christian Brothers University and spent his career as Vice President in the family business at True Tagg Paint Company and later retired from Burk Hall Paint Company as a paint chemist. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 21 from 5PM – 8PM and funeral services will be on Thursday, March 22 beginning at 2PM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife of 57 years Nanette Daisy Jones Schneider; daughters Gina Schneider Wey (Rick) of Brentwood, TN, and Lisa Carol Schneider of Memphis; grandchildren Richard “Miller” Wey of Shanghai, China and Lauren Wey Hensley (Sean) of Knoxville, TN.
