

Bob Edwards, 71, passed away on Saturday, June 25 after a courageous 15 year battle with leukemia. Bob graduated from Messick High School and State Technical Institute in Memphis. He was a Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Randolph. Bob is survived by Betty his beloved wife of over 50 years, his son Rob, daughter-in-law Kim, and grandsons, Mitchell, Bryant and Zachary, and his sisters Marilyn Crawford and Susan Chambers, nephews John and Wesley and niece Kimmie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Zeta Edwards, and his brother Mike. Bob was loved by many and will be remembered for his wit and ability to bring a smile to everyone he met. He worked in the warehousing and transportation industry for many years. Other than his family and friends, his greatest love was bass fishing. Bob's family is especially grateful to Dr. Michael Martin at The West Cancer Clinic, Methodist University Hospital and hospice care and the doctors at the VA Medical Center for the wonderful care that he received from them. Services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 8899 Trinity Road, Cordova, TN on Wednesday, June 29. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon followed by services at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis or to The West Cancer Clinic, 1588 Union Avenue, Memphis TN 38104.
