Robert F. Gay, 87, of Memphis, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mavis Gay. Mr. Gay is survived by his sons, Ronnie, Randy, and Rick Gay, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Gay proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was an active member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home. The burial will follow the service in Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the boys request gifts be sent to St. Stephens United Methodist Church. (901)725-0100
