Robert Lee Morrison

Robert Lee Morrison, of Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully Friday January 9, 2015 at Harbor View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he received excellent care. Bob was born on July 15, 1933. He graduated from Humes High School in 1953 and spent time in his 20s working in the National Parks of Yellowstone and Death Valley. He started his own business, A-1 Building Maintenance, in 1968 and successfully ran it for nearly forty years. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Young Morrison and is survived by his son Rob Morrison (Amanda) and his brother Warren Morrison (Ruth).

Bob, a longtime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, was a genuine and unique man with a big heart. He appreciated kindness that was shown to him and enjoyed being kind and generous to others. He was loved and respected and will be greatly missed. The memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. The service will be led by The Reverend Dennis Neenan. The eulogy will be delivered by The Reverend Dr. William E. Sissell, Jr., who has been a dear friend to Bob for 75 years. Visitation will follow the service.
