Robert Allen “Bob” Parker, 70, of Memphis passed away on September 24, 2016 after a long illness. He was the son of Ernest Luther Parker Jr. (deceased) and Grace Parker, and brother to Ernie Parker (deceased). A Memphis fire fighter for 28 years, Bob was recognized for conspicuous bravery in the saving of a life, and retired as a captain on the Memphis Arson Squad. He leaves behind his love and wife of 50 years, Sheryl Gray Parker, his three children, Cindy Dlugach, Tammy Johnson, Robert Allen Parker Jr., his sister, Carolyn Mullins and six grandchildren, Lillye and Eli Dlugach, Tyler and Lexie Hicks, and Matt and Paige Johnson. Bob loved Cardinals baseball, grilling for his family, Civil War history, old movies, and sharing tales. The family will receive guests Wednesday, September 28 from 1 pm until service begins at 2 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens on Germantown Rd.
