Roger Schumer

Roger Schumer, 60, beloved husband and father, of Cordova, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was formerly of Covington, KY, was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and was employed with International Paper for over 20 years. Mr. Schumer, the loving husband of Kathy Schumer for 32 years also leaves his three children, Jennifer (C.J.) Schumer Recher, Ben and Jason Schumer; eight siblings, Mary Pat Schumer, Larry Schumer, Marilynn Doll, Carole Cornelius, Ann Stein, Susan McIntosh, Jim Schumer and Rosie Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dottie Schumer. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 13 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday, January 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cordova, TN. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
