Ronald Carl Hawes, 62, of Memphis, passed away on November 26, 2015. Born in Jonesboro, AR on May 30, 1953, Ronnie worked for many years on a barge on the Mississippi River. He overcame the troubles of his life with the invaluable help of Alcoholics Anonymous, and he dedicated his life to helping others through his motivational speaking and work with AA. Mr. Hawes was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Kathryn Hawes; and his baby sister. He is survived by his brother, Anthony Hawes (Josephine); three nieces, Christina Harvey (Scotty), Melissa Hawes, and Rachel Shelton (Ricky); and his great nieces and nephews, Landon, Carmen, Blake, Piper, Avery, and Rocky.
