

Russell Wayne (Rusty) Cochran, 53 of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville. Rusty was born on September 26, 1960 in Memphis and developed a long career as a housing superintendent with Terry and Terry Co., Phillip Baum Co., and Landmark Construction. Rusty loved to cook and was on several barbeque teams where he enjoyed the competitions.
He was preceded in death by his father, William T. (Bill) Cochran, and is survivedd by his mother, Florine J. Cochran of Olive Branch, MS along with his mother and father in law, David and Barbara Hardin of Hernando, MS. Rusty leaves his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Michele Cochran, along with 4 beautiful children; daughters Amber Cochran of Southaven, MS, Sarah Cochran, Courtney Cochran, and son, Todd Cochran, all of Olive Branch, MS, and his dear grandson, Parker Russell Cochran. He also leaves two sisters, Vicky Roper of Southaven, MS, and Rose Ann (Bob) McNiell of Olive Branch, MS, and brother Tommy Cochran (Julie) of Germantown, TN. He loved and leaves aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, along with many close friends.
The Cochran family will receive friends from 1pm until the start of the service at 2pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., in Memphis. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh-Lagrange Road in Memphis. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff who took care of Rusty in his last few days and in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Baptist Trinity Hospice House.
