Ruth Keller Clutts

Ruth Keller Clutts, 93 passed away July 11, 2018. She was a member of Frayser Presbyterian Church and later First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed bowling, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, an avid Genealogist and one of her proudest accomplishments was assisting some of the children stolen in the Tennessee Children’s Home Society adoption scandal in Memphis orchestrated by Georgia Tann reunite with their birth parents.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally Clutts; her parents, Tillman Keller and Abigail Marsh Keller; sister, Sarah Wood McNeil; and brothers, Tillman Keller, Marvin Keller, Frank Keller and Joe Keller.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Joe) Bertling; step-son, Ron Slinkard; grandchildren, Rob (Meredith) Bertling and Anna (Doug) Kranz; step-grandchildren, Rhonda Williamson, Shanna Hamershock, Steve Allen, and Randy Allen and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 16, 2018 from 10-11A.M. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Interment will be at Rainey Cemetery in Toone, Tennessee at 3 P.M.
